Historical & Personality Description:
Shyla was rescued from one of the most overcrowded shelters in Los Angeles—on the very day she was scheduled for euthanasia. This gorgeous girl is an Australian Shepherd mix, with Staffordshire Terrier and Airedale Terrier in her lineage, giving her a unique blend of intelligence, loyalty, and athleticism. She's polydactyl, meaning she has extra toes on her back paws—just one of her many special features.
Shyla is sweet, goofy, outgoing, and full of personality. She thrives as the center of attention and would do best in a home with no other pets or small children. She's crate and leash trained, but squirrels are her kryptonite, so hold tight! With a vertical leap that rivals Olympic athletes, she must have a secure yard to run and play to her heart's content.
Cuddles? Yes, please. Hugs? Absolutely. Shyla is affectionate and attentive but does have a few trauma-related triggers, so she needs an experienced, patient adopter willing to provide structure and consistency. With the right person, she’ll be a fiercely loyal companion who wants to love and be loved. Could Shyla be your soulmate?
